We had the absolute dream team for the production of our latest short film, Cold Light of Day. The shoot went really smoothly thanks to all these very talented folks, and I can’t wait to share what we captured soon. But first, it’s off to the festivals! Thanks to for these dope analog stills!

Here are a few behind the scenes shots of how we accomplished the look of this music video. Uhl designed and built an entire set inside of a 3-car garage, which we used for closeups and medium shots. But for wide shots, we used a miniature of the full tower & forest locations. Then, we filmed Uhl’s performances on a green screen to be shrunk down and composited into the miniature. This project was full of so many different creative challenges and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. It has been an absolute privilege to work with and her vision for these videos.

Gotta love these small projects when the cast can step in as crew, and the crew can step in as cast. In our team photo, you almost can’t tell who is who.

Working with on her latest music video was an incredible collaborative experience. She brings such distinctive concepts and ideas to the table that it makes it easy to capture such stunning visuals. The creative possibilities with projects like this make me feel like a kid again. 🍊🏍🎶

screened at the Denver Film Festival tonight alongside some incredible Colorado short films. It’s been a total honor to participate in such an amazing festival and be able to invite colleagues, friends and family. I’m feeling very grateful for all of you tonight.

There are still tickets available for a second screening tomorrow at 4:15 at the SIE Film Center. Come on by!

It’s been a couple weeks since screened at but I wanted to share what an awesome experience it was. Such a well-organized and stylish festival with tons of talented filmmakers and artists in attendance. It was an honor to have Arable on the big screen alongside such an incredible curation of films.

We are now polishing the color & sound in anticipation of upcoming festivals (big news to come) and also the eventual online release of the film!
