What an honor to participate in the TED Countdown Summit this week where leadership across sectors of society - policy makers, Indigenous leaders, artists, philanthropists, youth activists, scientists, business leaders - gathered to discuss climate progress and what we need to make possible to achieve a net-zero future.
Thank you to Bill Brown from Creative Destruction Lab for inviting us to participate.
It was such an honor to meet leaders like Dr. Jonathan Foley who’s been on the forefront of advocating for climate solutions through Project Drawdown.
Thank you to the city of Detroit and the creative beauty that we were able to experience.
When we gather we are always left energized and awed by the ideas and people who are leading the way across all facets of society. There is so much work to do, right now. It is possible. Onward.

This week Kartheek Anekella, PhD, our Head of Food Science will be discussing how food innovators are rethinking supply chains, which is so important given the economic, political, and climate instabilities our world now faces. They’ll be joined by co-host Lu Ann Williams, and speakers Roxi Beck, Jerod Matthews, Beatriz Q. Silva, and Dolores Oreskovich, Ph.D., MBA on Monday, July 17th at 12:15-1:30 CST at McCormick Place, Room S403.
