Just a neat little alternate logo concept I sent to my client. It is essential for brand recognition + strategy to have multiple kinds of logos. The goal of having several is to have different purposes of usage. For example, using a horizontal logo for a web banner while using a logomark for your social media profile icon. I will start! This week I started the journey of a 2-year program to get my web design/development degree. I constantly get asked if I design/develop websites and realized I was losing out on a lot of financial opportunity and a chance to provide more value to my clients. As much as I would love the extra money, and as confident as I am in designing a nice-looking layout, I want to be fully qualified to create not only a beautiful design but a highly functional website. I sent this logo concept to recently for her rebrand for her sweatshirt & t-shirt shop (she sells other items outside of that, but this was the focus we wanted to consider). Think about brands like Forever 21, H&M, Charlotte Russe, Pacsun, etc, while each logo is unique (don't lie, you know they each popped up nearly clear as day in your head) one thing they all have in common is that they are each effective typographic logos. That is why I wanted to show a typographic logo as an option because while we want our branding to be unique, we also want to do what works. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
