Writing this album has been tough on the ol’ fingers. I’m playing at least a couple hours every day while is on tour. Full band practices… and maybe some shows… returning shortly. Stay tuned.

In the studio tonight cutting demos for the record. Got some good ideas flowing and looking forward to getting this album in the can.

I grew up back and forth between Louisville and Appalachia. The holler my family settled a hundred years ago was just over the mountain from the holler Loretta Lynn grew up in and I heard about her and her family my entire life. My folks were proud of the music she made and where she came from. They knew that even though she had physically left the holler, her heart, like mine, would always run those hills. Nothing has changed. Her spirit will fill those deep dark hollers with light and music until the end of time. She’s not gone, you just have to know where to find her.

Don’t mind me… I’m just out here conjuring new riffs…
