10 years ago, when I first started dabbling in production, a friend of mine introduced me to a brilliant musician and vocalist who was looking for someone to remix one of her songs. We instantly connected and I whipped up what was supposed to be a deep house remix but turned out to be one of the most embarrassing attempts in house music lol (we were young 😂). Fast forward 10 years later and I see the same brilliant musician is hosting a remix competition now for her song “say it like you mean it!!!”. Stoked for the opportunity to try again and reconnect after so many years, I enter, and lo and behold I take the bronze! 🥉it was such a full circle moment and so fun to reach out to bad snacks after 10 years and reminisce about that hilarious remix, which we thought was so cool at the time!

Anyway, thank you and for the opportunity! So proud to have placed top 3 amongst 114 other phenomenal remixers and to be a part of this remix EP with .music and , who created 2 insane works or art!

I’ve spent so many hours listening to their music in the past and found so much influence from the artists on this label that it’s surreal to have my own music alongside them now! “Not What I Need” is very special to me because it encompasses a lot of my inspired ideas from chill, organic and melodic house artists that I’ve been religiously listening to over the past couple years. These ideas helped pave the way to this new sound that I’ve been working hard towards for the past 2-3 years. And on top of it all, it’ll be released on a label I’m very fond of! So needless to say, I’m really excited for it to finally be out in the world.
