I wanted to share a picture my parents recently rediscovered- my grandfather "Papa" Bill Soop and I from when I was in elementary school.
Anyone blessed enough to meet Papa knows that he was a kid at heart up until the day he passed. When he walked into a room, you felt it light up immediately- and when he left, it was rare your face and stomach weren't hurting from the non-stop smiling and laughter that followed.
Whether it was showing up to band concerts & sporting events or checking in constantly to ensure I was on pace for Eagle Scout, his support for family and friends was unlimited and his love knew no bounds. Its impossible to verbally express the impact this great man had on my life. Instead, I've made it a goal to leave the same kind of impact on as many people as possible.
I hope to radiate his positivity, optimism, kindness and love each day and as a reminder, I have taken on his symbol- the bowtie- as I work to honor and carry on his legacy 🎀
