Rooted in faith for over 120 years, Good Shepherd Catholic Parish is a welcoming home in the Archdiocese of Denver where all generations gather to worship, grow, and live the Gospel with joy.

After a week of growing in faith, it was time to celebrate the joy of community.

We wrapped up Totus Tuus with one of our favorite traditions—Human Sundaes! Fr. Chris and two of our amazing missionaries were covered in ice cream toppings, sprinkles, and plenty of laughter. And, of course, no Totus Tuus finale would be complete without an epic water fight!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so memorable. Faith is a gift, and sharing it with joy is one of the best ways to live it.

Until next year, Totus Tuus! 🤍☀️

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. May we never forget their sacrifice and may God bless all who have served. 🇺🇸

Parish Office will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

In this week’s Pastor’s Corner, Fr. Chris reflects on Pentecost and the fire of the Holy Spirit that opens what is closed within us and calls us to live fully for Christ.

Read “Waiting for Fire” in this week’s bulletin.

Today we honor Saint Rita of Cascia, who carried the love of Christ in a beautiful and painful way. After years of prayer and devotion, she received a wound on her forehead from the Crown of Thorns, sharing in Jesus’ suffering with great humility and faith. Known as the saint of impossible causes, St. Rita reminds us to trust God even through life’s hardest moments.

Today we celebrate Saint Bernardine of Siena, who spent his life joyfully preaching the love of Jesus wherever he went. With humility, kindness, and a heart full of faith, he reminded others to trust in the Holy Name of Jesus and live for the Lord each day.

This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and Christ’s promise to remain with us always through His Church, the Eucharist, and the sacraments.
Be sure to read Fr. Chris’s Pastor Corner this week for a beautiful reflection on how Jesus reigns in heaven while remaining close to every heart and every nation.

The Pelican in Her Piety, located on the right side of the altar, is a beautiful Eucharistic symbol of Christ’s sacrificial love. In this traditional image, the mother pelican is shown feeding her young, representing Our Lord who gives Himself completely in the Holy Eucharist, nourishing His Church with His very life. You are welcome to view the window from in front of the prayer kneelers on Mary’s side. Please do not step by the altar.

May is dedicated to our Blessed Mother, Mary!
Today, our school celebrated the beautiful tradition of May Crowning by honoring Mary with flowers and love. Each student brought a flower as a special gift to our Mother, reminding us to always turn to her with faith and devotion.
Thank you, Blessed Mother, for praying for us and guiding us closer to your Son.

Be sure to check out our school Instagram for more photos from our May Crowning celebration!

This Mother’s Day we give thanks for the mothers of our Good Shepherd staff and all of the mothers in our Good Shepherd community. Your love, sacrifice, and faith have helped shape the hearts of those who serve and belong to our parish each day. We are deeply grateful for you and pray that God blesses you abundantly today and always.

Happy Mother’s Day.
