What is a PRC?

As a Peer Recovery Coach at Authentic Recovery, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders. You will utilize your own lived experience with addiction and recovery to provide empathetic guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to clients.

** Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to individuals in early recovery
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops focused on relapse prevention, coping skills, and self-care
- Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement individualized recovery plans
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the healthcare system and community
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress

**Requirements

- Lived experience with addiction and sustained recovery (8 months sober)
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients
- Knowledge of addiction recovery resources and support networks
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and self-care
