Hey everybody, hope you're having a great Sunday! I'm very pleased to present my new favorite live recording of me doing my dj thing, Recorded Live From Beacon - 11/29/24. While preparing for this night, I had this serious hankering to play some breakbeat. It's something I especially like to do when opening up a night too; breaks just feels right to me for kicking things off. It's a proper 40 minute journey through breaks before the first 4 on the floor drops. A bit of deep house carries the mix forward before minimal takes over for the remainder, deep and trippy at first, then we take you to funky town.

I feel like this set really strongly demonstrates the kind of dj I am. It's fresh, fun, and exploratory, with a really strong sense of perspective. I just had so much fun playing this set, and I think you can really feel the love I had for it in the recording. I truly hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Much love, y'all! ✌🏼

I have a new mix out today, Hallucinogenic Excursions Vol 1. I'm immensely proud of my work on this. It's so naturally exploratory and adventurous, with no shortage of trippy sounding textures and sounds as promised by its title. I wanted this to be a deeper, more prolonged experience, so it's a slow burner at just over 2 and a half hours total. It's worth it though; I promise you. (Link in comments)

I decided to use an image of a painting/art installation piece I completed last year as the mix art. It's called "Color Code." It's approximately 7.5' x 22" - wood stain, spray paint, and watercolor on wood panels. The spotlights bring it to life by making the cells appear to change color and reflect onto the ceiling as well. I wanted to take a moment to honor the original art used to create even more art for this mix. 😊

Oh hey everybody! Hope you're having a good long weekend. I've been chilling a bit on playing shows, but I'm excited to get back out there this week. I'll be playing STEAM as my footwork alter ego, eL_eMeNO, opening things up for the night. I'm planning a special chill and melodic set since I'm opening; really wanna showcase the more forgiving side of this crazy thing we call juke and footwork. I think it's gonna be really nice.

Hey everybody! Hope you're having a good week. I have a 4 track EP coming out tomorrow, a self release on Bandcamp, called S*x Cells EP. It's an older project I meant to send to labels a while back, but I feel like a self release is actually more appropriate. I firmly believe in my lead title track as an ultra dark, sexy techno beat. (was in my D A R K mix) The B-sides are very b-sidey, but I think there were some interesting ideas. (I had this notion of trying to combine bass music with techno/house for a while, but not in the standard, ragey bass housey way; two of the those are like that)

This was my first time making little promo clips of my stuff (see the following posts), kinda harder than I realized it would be, but I'm pretty happy with them. If you could snag a copy for Bandcamp Friday tomorrow that would be hella cool of you. lol First time putting out original music (for purchase, have a couple free remix things on Soundcloud) and your support would be very much appreciated.
