I’ve seen solar installs that should NEVER have gone on a roof. Poor flashing, bad layouts, zero thought about roof lifespan.
But I’ve also seen roofers rip off perfectly good solar systems—or worse, reinstall them wrong—just to keep everything “in-house.”
Here’s the truth no one wants to say:
* A bad solar crew can destroy a roof

* And when either one refuses to work together… the homeowner loses

Using the wrong solar company can cost you more than you think.
We recently had to step in and save a project after another installer wasn’t certified to work on a leased system.
If your solar is leased, approval and certification aren’t optional—they’re critical.

We were called out to fix a system where squirrels chewed straight through the wiring under the panels… leaving the homeowner with little to no production.

Rodents love nesting under solar panels because it’s warm, protected, and out of sight.
