While committing to learning technical first principles, we show up for the emotional power of human connection and the aesthetic beauty of rope work. Rope Salon provides a place to explore the art and science of rope bo***ge without dogmatic adherence to a specific style. We make space for the unique expression of all members. We believe the vast possibilities of this art form can only be realized in the macro view of all members' works.

Practice Risk Aware Consensual Kink (R.A.C.K.)

We believe that rope bo***ge practitioners - both tying and being tied - share equal responsibility in evaluating the risks involved in their practice. Rope Salon strives to give its members the tools to think critically about the risks they take on and produce work that's fit for purpose. We believe that healthy negotiation includes not only an alignment of intention but a mutual agreement to engage in activity within the risk profiles of all parties involved. In the event of physical or emotional injury, partners work together to address consequences and repair individuals who have been harmed.

We promote education upfront to allow members to make informed decisions. We say no to toxic people and toxic culture. We address physical and emotional harm transparently so that those with privilege can't hide from accountability. And we love ourselves for who and what we are.
