Cleveland County, NC, just launched their new events calendar! 🎉
Just in time for the 4th of July, the new calendar includes a dedicated 4th of July events filter for the holiday weekend!
Families and guests can also discover events like Movie Night in the Park, the upcoming rodeo, or local concerts and performances, and more with just a few clicks.
Check out the new events calendar on Cleveland County’s website!
Across higher ed, events are often spread across department pages, student org platforms, athletics sites, emails, flyers, and social media posts. That fragmentation makes it harder for students, families, alumni, and guests to see the full energy of campus life.
A unified campus events calendar helps bring that experience together.
With one searchable, branded hub, universities can:
• Improve event discoverability
• Reduce scheduling conflicts
• Support cross-campus collaboration
• Keep event promotion consistent
• Help students find opportunities that match their interests
For students, that means fewer missed opportunities to connect. For institutions, it means campus activity becomes easier to promote, easier to navigate, and easier to experience.

Reminiscing on our time at the Texas Association of Community College Marketers conference!
From the conversations we had at the Concept3D table to the breakout sessions and McAllen Greeters, it was clear how much care community college marketers put into helping students feel informed, welcomed, and connected. And we definitely felt the Texan hospitality!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi, share what you’re working on, or show off your campus map and events calendar. We can't wait to go back next year!
What separates venues that win repeat business from venues that struggle to prove impact?
For convention centers, event success is whether an it delivered value for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, operations teams, and future bookings.
Top convention center teams are tracking metrics like attendance rate, revenue per attendee, capacity utilization, lead follow-up, sponsor ROI, digital engagement, event turnaround time, and repeat booking rate.
For teams managing large, complex spaces, tools like Interactive Maps can also make those insights more actionable by helping planners understand rooms, layouts, navigation, and attendee flow before event day.

Summer revenue may be hiding in plain sight across your campus.
When classrooms, residence halls, auditoriums, athletic facilities, and event spaces sit underused, colleges and universities have an opportunity to turn those spaces into high-value summer conference destinations.
Here are 5 ways campuses can make better use of their facilities:
1. Host youth sports camps and athletic clinics
Athletic facilities, classrooms, green spaces, and residence halls can support overnight camps while building stronger community and recruiting connections.
2. Rent residence halls for overnight programs
Empty summer housing can become a valuable asset for camps, conferences, and short-term group stays.
3. Attract professional conferences and associations
Auditoriums, classrooms, and on-campus lodging give campuses the infrastructure needed to host multi-day professional events.
4. Offer classrooms as corporate training spaces
Technology-rich classrooms can support workshops, trainings, and business education programs.
5. Turn auditoriums into event venues
With the right visibility into capacity, equipment, and availability, campus auditoriums can become go-to spaces for community and professional events.
The challenge is making these spaces easy to find, book, and navigate.
That’s where tools like Room Reservations, Localist Events, and Interactive Maps can help campuses reduce friction, improve visibility, and turn interest into revenue.
