The number one thing that people are looking for from brands is honesty. Don't pretend to be something you're not or care about things you don't. Be honest and authentic. People don't just want to see what you create; they want to know you as a person. Don't be afraid to share a little about who you are, and allow your followers to become your friends.

Last week we talked about what our brand is and how it tells our story. It's also how we're going to connect with our future clients. But, that means we need to have an idea of who we want our audience to be. The internet is a huge place, and there's room for all of us to find and create little pockets of communities within our social media.

Your homework for today is to think about, write down, and comment below who your ideal audience is. Who do you want to reach? How old are they? What is the problem you can solve for them? Go get em. They're out there, waiting on you.

One day I was hiking through the Utah desert and saw the fuzziest little yucca I had ever laid eyes on. That was the day that a seed was planted for this project.

I've always known that I wanted to start a small business helping others with their social media. My full-time job is to manage social media accounts and over the years I have had lots of people ask me "what the heck should I be posting about on social media?" So when I saw this Yucca, I knew that I wanted to help answer that question for people who love to create beauty in the world around them.
