Opening Friday September 23rd 6-10pm and running through 10/06/22 Available for immediate release “Untethered” by artist and curated by Steve Morrell was born just outside of New York City and studied design before moving into a career in advertising as a creative director. Mostly self-taught, Steve has been painting most of his life, first inspired by the illustrative styles that dominated the 80’s music scene. While his early career consisted mainly of commissioned portrait work, his most recent subjects are almost exclusively women. Steve’s paintings are inspired by his active self growth practices and personal experiences. His work depicts the female form in a way that is powerful yet distinctly feminine. With a mix of exacting attention to detail and free flowing, intuitive brush strokes, Steve attempts to create an experience that is more emotive than it is cerebral, a visceral sense that hopefully touches on the spiritual. To that end, there are no clothes, jewelry or other earthly artifacts to remind us of the everyday—at times even gravity is in question.
Steve’s work has appeared in galleries across the country, including Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and New York.

ILA Gallery is pleased to announce our August exhibition “Out of Line”By Diana “Didi Rok” Contreras & Louie D.“Louiedeology” Exhibition dates Aug. 19th -Sep. 5th Opening Reception is Friday August 19th 6-10pm. With a special guest Performance by Adam “Dent” Martinez Reservations and private viewings are available at www.ilaartgallery.com
Curated By:
Diana Contreras has established herself as an influential Miami artist. From painting murals in the street art scene, exhibiting in various galleries, her work has been seen in exhibitions and private collections in several parts of the world. Contreras's primary medium is oil yet enjoys experimenting with anything she can make a mark with or on. From canvas, paper, too walls, her work deals with femininity, set in whimsical portraiture. With a distinct style Contreras’s work merges her love of illustration and street art with the classical techniques of the Masters. Louie D “LOUIEDEOLOGY” From the heart of an atom to the horizon of the universe native South Floridian artist Louie Diamondz is where he finds inspiration. His primitive futuristic style evokes ancient memories deep within your binary code, also known as your DNA. He narrates Our-story of science and math via his bodies of work transcribed as Molecular Constellations. These Molecular Constellations consist of one continuous line moving through space and time manifesting into the image one sees. The alpha and omega points are represented as dots or “stars”. These stars generate bursts of light, in theory are particles or molecules, traveling in the given direction rendering the line. Subtracting the line leaves one with the sum of stars, a constellation of molecules.
Out of line is behaving in a way that breaks the rules or is considered disreputable or inappropriate. Diana Contreras and Louiedeology create in a way that breaks the rules. In other words, they’re out of line. their styles are disrespectfully their own!

Analog Future new work by .works curated by Lorenzo Talcott Opening Friday July 8th 6-10pm show runs July 8th - August 6th Kevin Cincotta is a Denver-based painter and musician. Being raised around a lot of music has inspired him to focus on color, movement, and composition in his paintings - with the goal of creating something as catchy as your favorite song. Have you ever gotten a painting stuck in your head?
Analog Future is the story of people pursuing their goals through the metaphor of a treasure hunt. Each piece isolates a pivotal moment of this journey analogous to moments of challenge and achievement we all experience in our lives. The simple geometries and playful colors evoke the innocent optimism the protagonists carry through their journey. The analog hardware that borders each piece monitors the emotions experienced by the characters throughout their adventure. These works challenge the viewer to look at where they’ve been in their own life and look forward to where they might be headed.
