We’ve sent a few teasers this week about what we were announcing at Hey Birdie’s 5th Bird Day celebration last week… did you guess it?
There’s a word researchers use for what’s happening to adult friendships right now: recession. As in, friendship is in one. The average American has lost close friends over the last two decades. We’re spending less time with people we love. We leave gatherings feeling more alone than when we arrived.
We know because we’ve felt it. And we hear it constantly from the women in our orbit — women who are smart, full of life, deeply interested in connection, and still somehow finding it harder and harder to actually have it.
That’s not a character flaw. It’s a design problem. And we built Hey Birdie to fix it.
So we are launching The Roost.
