Complex Canine

“POWER & CONTROL” applied to “Tiree” a French Ring Dog 🇫🇷 , working on issues with the line of departure.
It was so nice to watch Tiree and her handler work, her handler stayed cool / calm / collected when given feedback and was so open and happy to make the adjustments that were mentioned!
Can’t harp on it enough, good training is good training, when applied clearly and consistently it is effective across the spectrum of dogs!

Another cool team from the past “POWER & CONTROL” seminar!
In this case, this team decided to bring out POWER by relinquishing a bit of control. This little mama was a bit apprehensive to work in a new environment around a lot of new people.
So, they evacuated the room and let her open up with chasing the flirt pole! By the end of the seminar she was accessing the toy on the person in a full room, progress is BUILT in the smallest increments and successive approximation 👌🏽.

A combination of a leather sleeve and negative punishment for slipping the bite / dropping the item / turning his back to the decoy, brought out commitment and harder grips from this guy.

Had a great time slangin’ that exclusive good good at the “POWER & CONTROL” Seminar with Justin Rigney & Erik Good, it was great catching up with old friends and connecting with new ones!
It’s refreshing to see great training pushed forward and applied to the spectrum of working dogs! From game bred pits, ppd, police canines, and even French ring dogs, good training applied tastefully just works.
We’ve got a handful of events we’re hitting back to back so I’ll post content as it’s edited but if you see anyone’s videos/photos with no tags, tag em in the comments and I’ll tag em to the post.

This guy is with us to address his barrier frustration / reactivity, develop a clearer line of communication with his person, and just get him acclimated to life!
Maestros dad rescued him at 4 and for the last two years his reactivity has snowballed into something severe and unmanageable, let’s see if we can teach this old dog some new tricks!

Every dog person after they’ve worked their dogs and watered their plants 🪴 😂.
