Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is the setting of one of my earliest memories. I was a 3 year old, proudly displaying my newly acquired dance skills while acting out animals I’d learned to represent in a creative dance class.

Another memory I have is of attending the company’s signature holiday performance, Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, with my glamorous Aunt Diane. Years later, I recited a poem by Langston Hughes from the stage of the Shorter AME Church, as part of the youth branch of the Denver .

I’ve attended recitals, productions, Kwanzaa events and more at the location that, for many Denverites, is a community cornerstone.

That’s why today’s behind-the-scenes tour of CPRD’s beautiful new expansion was so special. The organization’s transformation is a testament to the importance of civic engagement and community involvement, especially when it comes to creating spaces that foster belonging.

If you haven’t already seen the space, what better time than CPRD’s Spring Show?! Learn more at cleoparkerdance.org

Fun Fact: I’ve had freckles on my hands for my entire life. Now they’re all over my face! 😌

This building reminds me of my childhood, and now - in a very full-circle way - it has become a staple of my adulthood. Each time I enter, I feel deeply grateful for my journey.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Roz White () , who plays Ms. Liza Jane in Hell’s Kitchen, the Tony Award–winning musical inspired by the life and music of Alicia Keys. With more than 40 years in the arts, Roz brings both depth and perspective to a role that centers mentorship, voice and personal growth.

As the national tour makes its way to Denver, this conversation offers a behind-the-scenes look at a beloved musical that's stealing hearts and making waves on stages across America.

🎭 Hell’s Kitchen runs at the from April 14–26.

Keep your eyes on Adams County. The Adams County Regional Economic Partnership hosted a “State of the Region” breakfast, highlighting the work they’re doing to write the next chapter for the area. Education, energy and equity are key takeaways…I’m excited for the future of one of the state’s largest counties.

WorldDenver’s International Women’s Day celebration was so good! Great music, vibrant decor, strong messaging and a sold-out room of people cheering for women’s advancement, health, safety and appreciation.

I kinda feel like a Men’s Day celebration wouldn’t be this cool 😂

Hearing from Costa Rica’s first woman president was a treat. International experiences highlight the importance of global relationships and history, and remind us that the world is quite small indeed 🌎

Always a good time 🏀💙💛
Ball Arena was packed for this high-energy game. It might have been my only time seeing LeBron play in-person…it made me a little nostalgic. I remember when he and Carmelo Anthony were all over the news. Carmelo came here, so I picked sides 😂

LeBron’s career has been impressive. Not just his stats (he broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record during this game), but the fact that he has continued to work hard and stay at the top of his game without letting opinions or criticism phase him. It’s nice to see someone shine bright despite the hate.

The Nuggets won. I managed to stay awake. It was a time.

did it again! Another great event in the books, and another reminder that “Women are not DEI, they’re GDP” -

Thank you to everyone who came out to hear the critical conversations about women in business. It was so nice to connect with new friends and familiar faces.
