Modeling capacitively coupled plasma discharges in software that uses the Particle-In-Cell/Monte-Carlo-Collisions (PIC-MCC) approach, such as VSim, is challenging due to the many numerical and modeling choices available. To build confidence in these simulations, in 2013, Dr. Miles Turner and colleagues established strict benchmarks for validating PIC-MCC codes. In this webinar, Dr. Tom Jenkins will demonstrate how VSim models these benchmarks, and discuss their limitations and the impact they have on users of our software.
