YES Virginia, there is Table Tennis in the Robson Olympics!

That’s right, there will be a Table Tennis Tournament as part of the Robson Olympics.

A description of the tournament is below:
This tournament competition will be singles play table matches
using a double elimination format. Opponents will be drawn
randomly at check-in before the start of play. Matches will consist
of a 2-minute warm-up period and games played to 11 points (8
minutes max) … whichever comes first. Opponents change server
after every two serves. The tournament champion will be the
winner of the championship match between the opponents from
the winning bracket ladder and the loosing bracket ladder.
Awards will be given to first and second place finishers at the
Robson Ranch Olympics luncheon on June 20th.

This competition will take place in the Sports Center Gym from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026

Robson Olympics registration will be held in the Clubhouse on the following dates from 9:00 to 11:00 am:

- Friday, May 1, 2026

It's with great sadness that we report the passing of our friend and Club member, Peter Hollatz. Always upbeat and a repeated Tournament Champion over the years. He will be missed.

Honorable Mentions to …
Dr Steve, who only hit 2 solo cups with his 10 Serves BUT scored the highest knockdown with 14 out of 15 in the Return skill!
Ping, who went all in SMASHING EVERY SHOT on the RETURNS. Not certain if he was trying to hurt me or simply trying to knock the cups into the Pickle Ball courts! In either case, it was an exhilarating display of a forehand smash!

Friday- the last day of the challenge, The Playmakers came hard and fast, with high scores of 20 by Don (car) Pooley, 21 by Peter Von Smash, and 23 by The Champion, Gary Wolf!

Congratulations to Randall Hake, Winner of the Robson Olympics Table Tennis Competition. Exciting two game Champion Match with runner-up, John Wyant. Thanks to all who participated and helped in making this competition an Olympic experience.

What a great set of table tennis matches for the Robson Ranch Olympics on October 19. Twelve participants battled their way through a double elimination tournament ladder. The winner is John Wyant and the runner-up is Randall Hake. Congratulations to all for their efforts and table tennis play.

NEW TABLE TENNIS PLAY SESSION SCHEDULE BEGINS MAY 1, 2024

With the Sports Club’s Gym closure, the following Table Tennis Club’s Play Session schedule begins Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the Sports Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.
MONDAY – noon to 2:00PM
TUESDAY – noon to 2:30PM
WEDNESDAY – noon to 2:30PM
SUNDAY – 10:00AM to noon

We will be using four tables (2 Butterfly and 2 JOOLA) on which to play in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Two weeks is the estimated time for the Gym floor repairs and we will keep you posted on when the Club’s normal play session schedule will resume.

Mike Futscher Returns to Table Tennis Play

Mike and Julie Futscher are members of Robson Ranch Table Tennis Club, and prior to August 2023, played table tennis 3-4 days a week. In August 2023, Mike and Julie suffered a terrible car accident returning to their Robson Ranch Home from vacation. Mike was paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. The table tennis club immediately supported Mike and Julie with their prayers, assistance, and donations to Mike’s GoFundMe page. Just 5 months after the accident, Mike is already returning to Table Tennis Play sessions and is really looking good in his play and ability to hit the ball, overcoming his disability and limitations.

Current table tennis play session schedule times are in the Gym … Monday and Wednesday from noon to 2:30p.m., Friday from noon to 2:00p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00a.m. to noon.

20 Year Celebration

We celebrated 20 years of the Robson Ranch Table Tennis Club with a membership luncheon, the awarding of the 2023 Arlene Pfeil / Jim Greg Doubles Tournament trophies, and a group picture of those attending. The club is one of the oldest in the community and a great place of fellowship for its 94 members.
