I just learned about the passing of our good friend, our body shop go to guy Israel Salas.
Condolences to his wife, his children, grandchildren and all of his extended family.

Israel was one of the hardest working men I’ve ever known. Even when his body was telling him slow down he never listened to it and kept on keeping on. Every time I drive my wife’s Yukon I think of him and how I wish I had let him paint the whole vehicle and not just the hood and roof. I shoulda listened to you my old friend.

You will forever be sorely missed.

Rest in peace buddy.

Happy Anniversary!

I just realized that today is the 21st anniversary of Duffys Auto Service!

Wow! 21 years?? Seems like yesterday, well not really.

Thank you Denton for your continued support! Here’s to 21 more! Oh man, 21 more? Oh my.

Recent cold weather has brought in several vehicles with heating issues. This one in particular was complaining that the heat was not hot inside the vehicle. I tested the freeze protection and found mostly water! Plus Ten freeze protection. It was near 5 above in most areas in North Texas, maybe colder.
This particular customer has dodged a bullet. I was able to fix his heater, also replaced all of the hoses and clamps, flushed and filled it to a -45 degree freeze protection.

Well I know I haven't posted anything here in a long time. Reason is most of you that are following me are my regulars, and this platform just doesn't attract new clients for me unless I pay Facebook lots of money. So I just don't spend a lot of time on it because of that reason.
But I do appreciate all of you that follow me. I am sorry I'm not as engaging as other social media accounts that seem to thrive off of Facebook, but I really don't see a social media account as my future to success. lol.

But I am grateful to all of you that follow Duffy's Auto Service. Maybe one day I will start posting more content, I don't know. Maybe I'll share a photo or two of the type of repairs I've found myself doing here at the shop lately. Maybe you might enjoy seeing what I do behind the shop doors.

During the last 20 years of business you get to know the people who help make your business successful, from delivery drivers to parts suppliers, they are part of my team, they become friends, and then when someone new shows up with your tire order from Gateway Tire and he tells you Kendrick passed away it just hurts so bad, because he was more than just the guy who delivered my tires, he was that smiling face that was always happy to see you, he was that “hey man, hows your family” kind of guy.

Kendrick, your loss is weighing heavy on all of us who loved you. Please rest easy my friend.
