First Refuge Ministries is a faith-based 501(c)3 non-profit and para-church ministry that exists for the sake of the Gospel and the good of those in need. We do this by supplying medical services, dental services, professional counseling, and food to individuals and families. Denton Food Pantry Hours

Since COVID-19, anxiety and depression increased by 65%. Broken relationships, trauma, addiction, suffering - Texas has the lowest mental health access, with Denton among the worst.

🚧 Announcement!!! Temporary Closure for Renovations 🚧
First Refuge Ministries will be closed August 5–18 as we complete exciting facility renovations made possible through the generous support of a donor. We look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen on Wednesday, August 19!
During this time, our staff, volunteers, and community partners will be working together to prepare the space, complete the renovations, and get everything back in place so we're ready to continue serving our community when we reopen.
Although our offices will be closed to the public, our team will continue to monitor and respond to phone calls and emails throughout the renovation period.
Thank you for your patience, prayers, and continued support as we invest in creating an even better space to serve our neighbors.

Today, First Refuge Ministries is closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and pray for God's continued blessings on our nation.

Today, in observance of Juneteenth, all First Refuge Ministries offices are closed as we recognize and commemorate this important day in our nation's history.
Juneteenth serves as a time to reflect on the enduring values of freedom, unity, and hope, and to honor the progress made toward a more just and compassionate society.
We wish everyone a meaningful and peaceful Juneteenth.
