During the month of June, our Dental Clinic will be temporarily closed as we undergo construction and improvements to create a refreshed and welcoming space for the community we serve. This renovation is being made possible through the generosity of a dedicated donor who believes in the importance of accessible dental care for our neighbors in need.

While the clinic will be closed for appointments during construction, our team will still be available to take calls and respond to patient emails.

Thank you for your patience, support, and continued prayers as we work to improve the experience for every patient who walks through our doors

First Refuge Ministries is closed in observance of Memorial Day as we reflect on the lives given in service to our country. We are grateful for the freedom to serve our community with compassion and care.

Thank you to the amazing team from Heart of the City for coming out this morning. It was a great joy to share the work we are doing in Denton. If you don’t know about Heart of the city and the great work they are doing in Lewisville, check out their page!

Today, some of our staff members had the honor of visiting Refuge Ministries in Denton. A huge shoutout to Izell, Director of Operations, for showing us around, and to everyone who participates in helping the various ministry efforts there run. They are doing great work and Denton County is blessed to have them as a resource.

We are so blown away and deeply blessed by Flourish Denton and Rite NOW AC, Heating & Plumbing this year. The wonderful women at Flourish Denton rallied around our need and helped us hit our goal of 4k! But then, the Lord went "Beyond" and we received a match on top from Rite NOW! 💪🏼❤️🤯

Thank y'all so much for helping raise the funds for the ministry equipment we need! WE could not do what we do without support like this. 🔥🔥

This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we continue by celebrating the incredible volunteers who serve in our Food Pantry—the front line of hope for so many families in our community.

Each week, our volunteers show up in powerful ways to support individuals and families facing food insecurity during some of life’s most challenging moments. From greeting each family with a smile, helping with intake and paperwork, stocking shelves, sorting donations, and putting out signs—every role matters.

They pray with families, offer encouragement, and help load food into vehicles with care and compassion. Every smile, every conversation, every handshake and prayer—it all plays a part in creating a space where people feel seen, valued, and supported.

Because of this dedicated team, First Refuge Ministries is able to distribute over 250,000 pounds of food each year to those in need.
