Well today the Manor was loaded up and going to a new home - Bear Creek Park Halloween Train - so it will still be enjoyed by many, many more families for years to come. Is it sad to see it go? Well yes, but also this gives so many more people the opportunity to use the Manor in new and exciting ways! I know deep in my heart that this was the best thing that we could have done, and having such an incredible organization continue our work in the years to come is humbling....
Well, its over.
Virtually everything relating to our Halloween set up has been sold and will be enjoyed by others in their haunts.
Due to the incredible response, we closed our doors yesterday at 1100am, as it only took two hours for everything to be sold.
The main structures are going to a new home, and yes, will be seen by many more people for years to come!
Thank you all again for giving me the inspiration to do something really cool for our community, and I hope that I can continue with Christmas!
First, I simply cannot believe the response we have received with regards to Gordon Manor. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. It has been an honor to showcase some of the things we have fun doing, and if we instilled some smiles, stares of amazement and even created a memory or two then it was all worth while (it just makes me want to go a wee bit further for our Christmas display)
With that, the amount of people wanting to buy 'Gordon Manor' stuff has been incredible, and although I had planned for this to be a two day garage sale, it looks like now it will only be one due to the sheer volume of items 'pre-sold' through emails, texts and phone messages.
I only ask that please, the 'sale' starts at 9am, and I need to get things organized a wee bit before hand. To those showing up early (some have asked to come at 6am) I will be fairly busy, and not able to give you my full attention and may possibly be very grumpy depending on how much coffee I had or how much sleep the night before.
There are still an incredible amount of goodies that will be available, and everything can be checked and tested before purchase.
One other thing, and this may offend some but its not supposed to; over the years I have put tens of thousands of dollars buying, building and searching for all this equipment. If you see a perfectly good working projector I am selling for 150.00, please do not offer something like $20.00, it hurts and makes for a very awkward situation. I know that its a garage sale, and I tried to price things so others can 'carry the torch' so to speak at a very reasonable cost. If you want to offer something REASONABLE, I will be more than happy to listen and possibly agree. If we both understand this then we will both be very happy.
Cheers!

It's with a very heavy heart that Gordon Manor will no longer be. In the next couple of weeks everything will be sold off in a massive one-of-a-kind Halloween garage sale.
It should be CLEARLY noted that this is not for health reasons, or selling our home, it's just I have many, many other projects in the works and to dedicate 3-4 months a year building displays is getting a bit much for these tired bones 😊.
The Manor is simply incredible, and thousands have come by to see and experience the illusions, singing pumpkins, projections and many, many other great things that made it so much fun.
I am hoping that it will have a new owner, and that many more people can see the Manor in its next incarnation.
I will be posting more in the next week for garage sale dates, and ad links.
There will be enough stuff to easily fill a five ton truck.....
Pics are only a small fraction of what will be offered.
It should be noted that at this time of the year, the Manor is slumbering, but dreaming of ghostly delights for this years Halloween!!!
I know, I know...
We are STILL getting things put away but pictures (and video) will be up soon - PROMISE! Its just been a very busy time and - with the help of Mitch Purdy & Marc Carriere - Gordon Manor is now tucked away to sleep for another year. These guys ROCK and came out last Sunday to help us get things done. I cannot thank you guys enough and hope there is someway I can return the favor!
