Summer school is cancelled for tomorrow, June 18.

Due to the potential impact from Tropical Storm Arthur, which could bring significant rainfall, gusty winds, and localized flooding to our area, Livingston Parish Public Schools will cancel all summer school, credit recovery, and Fast Forward Summer classes. Other school activities, including athletics, are also cancelled on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The district office will be open, and twelve-month employees will report to work as normal to support district operations. Any twelve-month employee who is unable to report due to flooding, should contact their immediate supervisor. The school board meeting scheduled for 5 PM will be held.
Safety remains our top priority. We encourage everyone to monitor local weather forecasts and use caution when traveling, especially in areas prone to flooding.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates, if necessary, through our official communication channels and our website, lpsb.org.

We are excited to announce that Jessica Edwards will serve as our Administrative Assistant and Leah Davis will serve as our Instructional Coach. Both have been valued members of our school family and have consistently demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting our students, staff, and community.

Their experience, relationships, and passion for our school make them excellent additions to our leadership team. We are grateful that they will continue serving our school in these new capacities and look forward to the positive impact they will make!

While this may be a new role, she is certainly not new to our school family. Mrs. Shaidaee brings a passion for student achievement, a heart for our community, and a clear vision for continuing the great work happening here every day. She has built strong relationships with our students, staff, and families, and has been deeply committed to our school’s success. We are confident that under her leadership, our school will continue to grow and thrive.
