This here is me showing deuce that I want him calm before he can get out of the kennel.

Although I do think we should do this for all dogs. Deuce needed it more than others. He had a ton of anxiety and he would shoot out of the kennel an anxious mess and his energy would just leak out everywhere.

I want him to have a little bit of a grip on himself mentally before we even step foot out of the kennel. If he can’t even contain himself there, no shot he’s doing it out in the world.

In the end this helps him become more stable and calm going into things.

If you do this every day instead of just letting the dog shoot out, they will be better for it!

If you can’t even open the door without the dog shooting out, I have a video on how I teach that, I’ll link it!

Obedience that won’t fail you. In the real world, with lots of new sights, sounds, and smells. In a place she’s never been before, her obedience still holds up.

Of course we didn’t start here. It’s taken lots of time and repetition to get here. But nonetheless we worked and worked and never gave up. Because of that I can literally take her anywhere with me, and her world is a lot bigger than just the backyard. Seeing her there you’d probably think she has always been this way, but I can guarantee you she wasn’t. She couldn’t see a twig move 50 ft away without her losing her mind. If a piece of grass moved the wrong way she was all over it. Without her training I’m confident she would’ve been on the table a long time ago. Im so happy to have gotten her when I did because god knows I needed it. Point of all of this, is that if THIS dog can do this. Chances are, so can yours. Just takes some time and effort. Progress is not linear. Don’t give up! There is light at the end of the tunnel!
Her transition from “heel” to “under” is a little rough haha, just means there’s more work to do 😼 we’ll sharpen that up with time.

Rayleigh😇

Rayleigh just finished her two week daily training program! She was honestly a hard dog to train because she wouldn’t let me touch her with a 50ft stick. I had to think outside the box for miss rayleigh… Rayleigh is one of those dogs that would’ve taken the entire 2 weeks just for her to get closer to you. We didn’t have time to waste since we were racing a clock. Her owners put in the work with her every day and really doubled down. I don’t think she would’ve progressed had they not. So huge shoutout to them!

Rayleigh was a hot mess. Stranger danger for almost everyone. Guests were not allowed in the house without her baking like crazy, or her just being put up in the kennel. Like most cases this stemmed from a couple different things. Lack of fulfillment, and anxiety. Which honestly the anxiety I think came from a place of un-fulfillment. But with her program we have set her and her owners up for the best chance at success with this dog. Nonetheless I loved the challenge and had a blast working with her and her owners. Truly an awesome dog when she warms up to you!

Again, shoutout to her owners for putting in that work, even after the program finished! It really does take a village sometimes. Next is her brother Roger! Which will be with me for a reactivity board and train. Stay tuned for that!

Deuce!⚡️

Man, was this a fun one to make. Seeing his progress from day 1 (literally) till the pic at the end (go home session) was honestly so satisfying. It makes me so happy to literally see with my own eyes the dog opening up and slowly becoming the best they can be. That feeling is next to none.

Deuce was super reactive and his mom couldn’t take him anywhere. We took him out of his environment, made some changes to his everyday life, and voila. His reactivity MELTED away. It really is a beautiful process to watch unfold, even though it sometimes feels like watching paint dry. I love it and am so happy deuce is now home and is living a happy and more peaceful life. Can’t ask for more than that as a dog trainer.😌

Stop taking bad advice from the unqualified 💥

So many things that I see online in comment sections or on Facebook groups is crazy. Some people really have absolutely NO IDEA what they’re talking about.

Often times they’re talking from the experience of their ONE dog “my dog never did that cause I did this” or “if that were my dog I would’ve done this because of this” and in reality just because it worked for their ONE dog, doesn’t mean it will work for yours. They give “fixes” for your problems but they don’t even know the why behind the how, or even most times, they don’t even know the how🤦🏽‍♂️

They are literally just bored and giving their two cents. If your dog has serious behavioral issues you aren’t going to fix it with a Facebook comment. Get real help. Professional help.

Someone who can troubleshoot the problems YOUR dog is having and tailor a plan to set you up for success. There’s even great trainers out there that have online platforms for you to do it yourself. Qualified help.

Stop taking bad advice online!! Consult a professional dog trainer like myself and we will set you up on the path to success!

Deuce⚡️

When I evaluated deuce he didn’t let me get near him really, he had a ton of stranger danger. When I brought him home he was growling at me and my girlfriend and anyone that went to close to him. He made tremendous progress in my board and train program. He can now be out in the world with his owner and his siblings. Neighborhood Walks that seemed impossible are now a breeze with deuce.

In his program we worked on basic obedience, leash skills, gave him a communication system, as well as impulse control and his anxiety. He was honestly a nervous wreck who just acted on impulse, but now he’s a calm level headed dude who can actually think rationally In tough situations

I’m beyond proud of him and will miss him so much. Such a cool dog and fun to be around. Super goofy, but so himself and I love it. I’m so happy his owner gets to enjoy him as much as I did. Till I see you again deucey!

In this clip there’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment💥

In a fraction of a second I advocated for my board and train deuce(Minnie Aussie).

He was rolling around enjoying himself and my other board and train Winston (frenchie) went up to be the fun police, (he did that a ton) and I communicated to him to not do that. He respected it, deuce noticed it, and we all walked away happy.

Deuce was previously very reactive towards dogs still when I recorded this clip, so it was huge that I showed him he didn’t have to react, that I had his back.

and on the flip side of that, Winston got another lesson in “fun police isn’t your job”

often times these lessons present themselves in seconds and you have to be ready for it. If not, the dogs will do what dogs do and it probably won’t end well. Advocate for your dogs guys. Or don’t be surprised when they go off on each other 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’ve seen dogs lose eyes in seconds. It doesn’t take long, advocating for your dog can literally save lives, if not, thousands of dollars in surgery’s and a whole lot of ptsd lol.

Train your dogs people!

See how fast things go from fun to dangerous. He’s small but mighty😼. All jokes aside this is a serious issue and should be worked on by a professional. Big or small this may seem cute or even “harmless”. It may even look like play, but I promise you he is not playing lol, he can seriously hurt someone if this isn’t resolved, skin breaks easy and it could be a child who’s skin he’s breaking. Resource guarding is a serious issue and shouldn’t ever be overlooked. Could be the difference between a life changing event or not!

Stay tuned for the transformation! This is going to be a fun one!

I have a couple more spots available for the month of April board and trains! Spots filling up fast. Use the link in my bio or dm me!
