Summer break officially began for our students and staff after graduation, but for the Panther leadership team, the work of preparing for an even better year started immediately.

Over the past several days, we’ve spent long hours learning, planning, studying data, asking tough questions, and challenging ourselves to think differently.

How can we do better?

How can we lead better?

How can we serve our students, staff, and community better?

Those conversations matter because excellence doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from a commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and a shared belief that our best days are still ahead.

I’m proud of this team and the dedication they bring to Panther Nation every day. While summer has just begun, we’re already hard at work preparing for what’s next.

📚☀️ Summer FAST Reading Retake & EOC Testing Information ☀️📚

Volusia County Schools will be offering Summer FAST Reading Retake and End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments for eligible students who need to meet graduation requirements or earn course credit.

🗓️ Testing Dates: July 13–16, 2026
⏰ Arrival Time: Students must arrive by 8:30 AM
📝 Registration Deadline: July 2, 2026

🚗 Transportation is not provided. Parents/guardians are responsible for drop-off and pick-up arrangements.

📍 Please review the flyer carefully for testing locations, important reminders, and electronic device policies.

We’re excited to share that the School Board has approved Octavius King as the new Curriculum Assistant Principal at Pine Ridge High School!
Mr. King joins us from Orange County Public Schools and brings extensive high school experience, along with a strong focus on instructional excellence and student success. We are thrilled to welcome him to our Panther family.
We also want to thank Michele Brown for her service to Pine Ridge. She has made a meaningful impact on our students, staff, and school community, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter.
Mr. King looks forward to meeting everyone as we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year.
