🌱 Transformation Wednesday at H.O.O.V.E.S. 🌱
Today we wanted to share the incredible transformation of our garden and what it truly represents.
This garden is so much more than a place where vegetables grow. It is a place of healing, purpose, and connection. For many of our veterans, volunteers, and participants, working in the garden provides a sense of peace that can be difficult to find elsewhere. It offers a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, focus on the present moment, and experience the satisfaction of nurturing something from seed to harvest.
Over the years, we’ve watched countless individuals find comfort among these rows, using gardening as their own form of therapy and healing. There is something powerful about putting your hands in the soil and seeing growth happen one day at a time.
While we loved our previous setup, it became increasingly difficult to maintain and keep productive. The new design and system will be far more sustainable, accessible, and manageable for the people who use it every day. This transformation will make a tremendous difference for our veterans, volunteers, and intensive program participants.
Not only will this space continue to support healing and wellness, but it will also provide fresh fruits and vegetables that can be enjoyed by those participating in our programs.
A special thank you goes out to Worthington Steel and Lammon Brothers , who partnered with Worthington Steel to provide materials and support for this project. Your generosity and commitment to community made this transformation possible, and we are deeply grateful for your investment in our mission and the people we serve.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make this transformation possible. What you’re seeing is more than a garden makeover—it’s an investment in healing, hope, community, and the lives of those we serve.
💚 Every seed planted here represents the possibility of growth. Every harvest represents hard work and perseverance. And every person who spends time in this garden is reminded that healing, like gardening, takes time—but beautiful things can grow from it.

This is a friendly reminder that ALL incoming vehicles must stop and check in with the office. This includes personal vehicles bringing in grass, leaves, weeds, and other compostable materials. We must report these items to the EPA and need an accurate count of how much we bring in to our facility monthly.
Thank you for your understanding!
To our valued customers: Due to the increasing cost of fuel, we will be implementing a fuel surcharge to every delivery, to include our dumpsters.
We understand the impact this may have and sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support. Our team is monitoring the national prices and will give updates along the way. If you have any questions please let us know.
