With all the rain we have been getting we had to move are setup up near the drive to finish out the job, it's not always fun moving equipment and logs more than once but now even if it rains cats and dogs we can still haul.

This tree cut pretty good for being a line tree.

Same woods, same species, hard maple 200 feet apart this is what they typically cut like in this area.

Pretty decent hard maple for the area we're working today, typically there hollow or really big heart wood inside. Minus the bad spot, at one point in time something or someone damaged the side of the tree, it's inevitable while harvesting timber your gonna bump another tree and cause some damage. It's important to pick your skid trailes, trees that are less valuable and poor quality are the a better option to bump or rub if need be.

It's a lot of work sometimes limbing pin oak, small landing on this job just about wrapped up and gonna be on to the next next week
