Delray Beach Fire Rescue is proud to recognize Delray Beach Ocean Rescue Lifeguard Alicia Warren for receiving a lifesaving award following her exceptional actions at the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) Southeast Regional Lifeguard Championships in Alabama. While attending the competition with Team Delray Beach, Alicia noticed a young girl in distress and quickly recognized that she was choking. Without hesitation, Alicia stepped in and used her lifesaving training to successfully remove the airway obstruction. Her prompt response, calm demeanor, and professionalism helped save a life.

Alicia credited her training and experience with Delray Beach Ocean Rescue for preparing her to act quickly and confidently when seconds mattered most. Following the incident, Alicia also had an outstanding competition, earning first place in her age group and several top overall finishes. Congratulations Alicia, on this well-deserved lifesaving award and for representing Delray Beach with courage and professionalism.

🚒 Touch The Truck Fun!! 🚒

This week, Delray Beach Fire Rescue welcomed children from Youthland Academy for a Touch the Truck tour. They had a great time exploring our fire apparatus, meeting our firefighters and learning more about fire safety.
We enjoyed spending time with these young visitors and sharing an exciting, hands-on experience with them!
