We’ve got a fresh new logo, and we’re so excited to finally share it with you!

Over the next few weeks, you’ll start seeing our new logo on library cards, flyers, social media, and more!

A huge thank you to local artist ART for ALL - Megan Etzkorn for bringing our vision to life. We gave her a few ideas of the look we were going for and she knocked it out of the park!

As we continue refreshing and reimagining our space and services, this is another exciting step forward. Our new look reflects the welcoming, creative, and community-focused library we're always striving to be.

Supporting local artists, businesses, and organizations is something we truly value, and we're so grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Megan on this project.

We kicked off our next round of Homeschool Hangouts with Makey Makeys in our Create Space!

A Makey Makey is an electronic invention kit that uses a simple circuit board and alligator clips to turn everyday conductive objects—like bananas, Play-Doh, or aluminum foil—into touchpads that control your computer like a keyboard or mouse.

Our patrons tried their hand at making their own game controllers out of play-doh, plated water bongos, and learned about what types of items conduct electricity with a simple game.

Join us for our first Homeschool Hangout TOMORROW morning at 10am!

Homeschool students will explore coding, circuits & problem-solving with Makey Makey Lab. Mark your calendars!

Our first Speed Puzzling program was a success!

Five teams raced to see who could complete a 500 piece puzzle the fastest. Our winning team came in at just over 33 minutes, with second place close behind at 42:18.

The winners took home vouchers for art classes with ART for ALL - Megan Etzkorn, generously donated by Megan. Thanks, Megan!

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Our Create Space got a little more sporty today! We were excited to welcome the Delphos City Schools Lady Cats Soccer Team for a team bonding day.

Coach Megan Etzkorn put our Cricut to work and helped the girls create their own team apparel. We think they turned out pretty great!

We love seeing our Create Space being used in all kinds of ways and giving our community a place to create, learn something new, and have a little fun together.

Check out the girls’ shirts below, and be sure to catch a game or two this season to cheer these young ladies on.

Our Create Space was made possible through the IMLS via a LSTA grant from the State Library of Ohio, along with local funding from the Arnold C. Dienstberger Foundation.

A new story was installed at our Storywalk this morning! Mavis the Bravest follows the story of a timid chicken who must learn to be brave. It was sponsored by the Hawg Creek Spinners and Weavers in memory of Olga Rode.

Olga participated in fiber arts which inspired the choice of story this month (Mavis is an avid knitter). She was also a board member for our library for many years.

We hope you will enjoy this story of finding your spark of courage when it is time to be brave!

All jokes aside, there is a delay in the delivery of the product we will be installing so we are unfortunately putting a pause on our carpet project.

There will still be books boxed, shelves moved, etc. The library will no longer be closing on August 20th, 21st, and 22nd. When we know our new install dates, we will be sure to update our patrons.

Thank you all for your patience and support as the library continues to make headway on improvements.
