When Nicole, a SAFY foster parent, first considered fostering, she thought about what changes for youth when consistency is present. Over time, her perspective deepened.
Foster care isn’t about stepping in for a family, but about walking alongside youth and the people who matter most to them. This often includes building relationships with primary families through small, everyday actions that build trust over time. These moments help build trust and support stronger transitions over time.
