Over a day and a half, the SAFY DOMs recently came together from across seven states for our first-ever retreat. 💙

They focused on training, relationship-building, and collaboration during the retreat in Columbus, Ohio. Thank you to everyone who helped make this inaugural event a success!

Sometimes the most meaningful support is also the most ordinary. How can you support youth in foster care and the foster families that care for them?

There’s more than one way to support foster care.

Many people care deeply about children and families but aren't sure where they fit. The reality is that supporting has never been the responsibility of one person or one family. It takes a community.

Some people become foster parents. Others provide respite care, mentor, advocate, donate, or simply encourage families as they navigate challenges.

Reunification support comes from relationships. The relationships are built through supported transitions over time. Foster parents, families, and communities working together.
