After highlighting, I sometimes bring my guest to the shampoo bowl to do a wet balayage. Working on damp hair lets me see the natural movement and where the highlights are sitting so I can refine the placement.
This step helps me:
• soften any harsh lines from foils
• blend the highlights into the natural color
• brighten pieces that need a little more lift
• create that soft, lived-in look that grows out beautifully
It’s one of those little extra steps that makes the final color look effortless instead of stripy 💁🏼♀️

Obsessed with this soft golden blonde 🤍
We did highlights to brighten her up but kept it super blended so it still looks natural and grows out nice. I never want my blondes looking stripey or overdone — placement is everything.
A little depth in between the highlights is what makes it look dimensional and gives that healthy, expensive finish ✨
