🌧️ RACE DAY UPDATE 🌧️

Due to the forecasted severe thunderstorms expected throughout the evening, Georgetown Speedway has made the difficult decision to forgo tonight's Deron Rust Memorial - Modified Twin 20’s - Presented by Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts.

We know everyone was looking forward to honoring Deron Rust and enjoying a great night of racing, and we explored every possibility to get the event completed. However, after closely monitoring the forecast and consulting with Chief Meteorologist Mike Lichniak regarding the timing and severity of the storms expected in our area, we feel it is in the best interest of the safety of our competitors, fans, officials, and staff to not proceed with tonight's events. While rain alone is often something we can work around, the potential for severe weather and dangerous conditions made this decision necessary. Safety will always remain our top priority.

Track officials will review the schedule to determine when we can make up both the Deron Rust Memorial and the Fan Favorite Twin 20's. Once a suitable date has been identified, we will update the 2026 schedule accordingly.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and continued support. Decisions like these are never easy, but we believe this is the right call given the forecasted conditions.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at Georgetown Speedway on Thursday, June 25th, for Thursday Night Thunder Presented by Bay Line Construction.

UPDATE…. Georgetown is rained out tonight. See you at Bridgeport tomorrow
