The DACC Welding program wants to introduce the new high school Welding Instructor Mr. Doug Andres. He is a 2013 DACC Welding program alumni and brings welding teaching experience from the DACC Adult Education program as well as Columbus State Community College. Below is Mr. Andres on his first day with his first class! Congrats and welcome to DACC, Mr. Andres!

After 10.25 years, my journey as the DACC Welding Instructor is nearing an end as I accepted a new position within the building. I want to thank all my current and former students, all of the supportive parents, and all the business professionals that have worked with the DACC Welding students over the years! I’ve been able to witness many, many students grow and flourish into hard working young men and women that have paved a successful path into the welding industry for themselves. I thank each and every one of my students I have had a pleasure of teaching and working with over the years. Time flies when you are having fun!! Thanks for all of the memories and please don’t hesitate to reach out and keep in touch!

Welding Students of the Month are WSM1 student Joe and WSM2 student Donovan!
Joe is a hard worker and makes the most of his time in Lab and Donovan is the first in his class to earn Job Placement and is currently working at Suburban Steel! Keep up the great work!

WSM2 student Bryan earned the Golden Work Boot Award for successfully applying and getting accepted to further his welding skills at the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in August of 2022!! Awesome choice and congratulations, Bryan!! Proud of you!
Happy Monday! Getting things done this morning in the WSM1 Lab. Jackie is operating our CNC plasma cutting table to mass produce some table feet. Great job!
