From the Staff of Smith Elementary:

As many of you are aware we lost our beloved coworker Leslie Kress on May 26th to a courageous battle with cancer. Leslie touched countless lives through her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the students, families, and staff of Smith Elementary School. Her impact on our school community will be felt for years to come.

As we honor and celebrate Leslie's life, we are creating a memory book to commemorate her years at Smith Elementary. We invite current and former students, families, colleagues, and friends to share photos, stories, and special memories of Leslie. Whether it's a favorite classroom moment, a kind gesture she made, or a photograph that captures her spirit, your contributions will help us create a meaningful tribute to the remarkable educator and person she was.

Our last PTO Meeting for the 25/26 school year is tonight!

The Coin Wars officially wrapped on Friday and the totals are in! Congratulations to Mrs. Bruestle's 3rd grade class for coming from behind and winning!

Everyone had such a fun time last week, and the hallways were filled with strategy planning and giggles.

We can't wait for next year's Coin Wars!

Our first Coin Wars is almost over. Here's an update as of 7:00 a.m. this morning (5/7) for current class standings.

Spring Flowers will be ready for pickup on Wednesday, April 29th from 3:30-5:30 at the Smith Playground!

A long time ago, in a school not so far away…

The Coin Wars have begun. 💫

From May 4th through May 8th, classrooms across the galaxy will rise in friendly competition, each battling to collect the most points and claim ultimate victory. Coins will clash, strategies will form, and only one class will emerge triumphant.

The reward? A legendary celebration hosted by the PTO for the champions.

Will your class bring balance to the force… or fall to the dark side? The fate of the leaderboard awaits.

The Smith Second Grade Team is starting a pollinator garden in the courtyard! 🐝🌺🦋🌿

The fun and unique opportunity will allow second grade students this year and in future years to get more hands-on experience while learning all about pollinators, plants, and more!

They're looking for some donations to help get things off the ground. If you have anything that can be donated, please drop them off at the school.

We're looking for anyone who can help out with our flower sale pick-up happening Wednesday, April 29th.

We need help starting at 1:30 to unload the truck and get the flowers organized, and then help from 3:30 until 5:30 during order pick-up.
