The Keep Delaware County Beautiful (KDCB) program is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful,Inc. , promoting Delaware County recycling. The KDCB Coalition provides recycling and litter prevention activities and environmental education programs to the residents and businesses of Delaware County. Keep Delaware County Beautiful is your local resource for recycling and litter prevention programs and works with the Delaware, Knox, Marion, and Morrow (DKMM) Solid Waste District to provide local recycling and litter prevention programs and activities. KDCB coordinates the recycling drop offs on behalf of the DKMM Solid Waste District. KDCB's staff is responsible for assisting Delaware County residents by providing them with the information they need to properly dispose of solid waste. KDCB provides information on how to dispose of special wastes and organizes special collection events each year. The EPA provides a map of certified electronics referbishers and recyclers to dispose of some special wastes. Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drop-offs are scheduled in cooperation with the DKMM. Drop-offs are held in each of the four counties every year and all are open to Delaware County residents. See the HHW flyer for a list of accepted materials and for more information on Delaware County recycling. As a program of the Delaware Public Health District, we follow their Facebook Comment Policy:

REMINDER: Delaware County recycling drop-off bins will not be serviced on Labor Day, Monday, Sept 7. Rumpke will return to service the bins on Tuesday, Sept 8.
If bins are full, please wait until they are emptied before leaving your recyclables. Do NOT leave materials on the ground.

Thank you to a concerned resident for sending us these photos. There have been numerous accounts of illegal dumping at Wyandot Run recently.
The bins at Wyandot Run are for specific residential recyclables ONLY. Acceptable materials are pictured on the front of the bin. No other materials are accepted and considered illegal dumping.
There is NO excuse for illegal dumping at recycling drop offs.
Residents of single family homes of Liberty Township, City of Powell Local Government and surrounding jurisdictions have curbside waste, recycling AND BULK item pick up with Rumpke. Per their contracts with the township or city, bulk item pick up is FREE. (Please contact your township or city for more information. Freon appliances are extra).
Residents in apartments or condos should utilize dumpsters or service provided through your apartment or condo community for trash. Residents can call in a private hauler for large items or take them directly to the Delaware County Solid Waste Transfer Station.
Businesses should not be using the recycling drop offs at all.
Got plastic grocery bags? Keep them out of the landfill and instead donate them to People In Need, Inc.!

A quick step makes a big difference! ♻️When using a recycling drop-off bin, please take a moment to close the doors and lids after you're finished.
Keeping the bins closed helps:
✅ Keep recyclable materials dry
✅ Prevent litter from blowing away
✅ Reduce pests and odors
✅ Keep the site clean for everyone

🚗♻️ Reminder: Free Tire Disposal This Saturday! ♻️🚗
Don't let old tires become mosquito breeding grounds! Join us this Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Berkshire Middle School (2869 S 3 Bs & K Road, Galena) for our FREE Tire Disposal Event.
Residents may bring up to 10 passenger tires (13"–24" rim size) for disposal.
Please note:
👉Delaware County residents only (no businesses)
👉No bike or agriculture tires
👉Tires are preferred off the rim, but on-rim tires will be accepted

Join us for the 2026 Olentangy River Clean-Up on Saturday, August 15, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the South Mingo Park Canoe Launch.
Volunteers will help remove debris from the river, and all equipment will be provided. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, as participants should be prepared to wade into the water.
