LOL! My life is SO filled with ease and grace. Sometimes it’s just hysterical!

Yesterday, I had several trips to the Ohio State fairgrounds to set up everything for our booth at the Gift of Light expo this weekend. We have a double booth this time so it was extra to set up and I wanted to make sure everything was complete.

At the end of the day, on the way home, my “change engine oil“ light went on. Back in the day we called these things “dummy lights” and I always feel like I’m being yelled at when they go on, so now this is on my radar. I thought this was unusual because the sticker for the next oil change said it wasn’t due for another 800 miles. So now I feel like it’s something to attend to, and I’m thinking about an oil change.

The next thing I know, I passed by a Valvoline instant oil change place and I look it up. Turns out they open at 8 AM on Saturday. So I calculated everything out to be at Valvoline this morning at 7:45 AM to be first in line before they open. That way I could get my oil changed before the Expo and get it off of my plate for the rest of the weekend.

When they opened, they came and took a look. First thing, Tom checked my oil and said it was clean and full. What?!?! He said it is common for places to forget to reset the counter after an oil change. He reset the counter, and VOILA, I’m back in business! Now, yes, I could have checked the oil myself. However, I was so focused on the Expo, that literally never came to mind.

I am so blessed to have a life of such Ease and Grace where my day starts off with a laugh at Valvoline with Tom!
