Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! This week, we continued our series in the book of John, called "That You May Believe." This week, we heard from our elder over our Prayer Team, Jamie Kridler, who taught us that when it came to Jesus, the crowds were divided. Many believed in Jesus and placed their trust in Him. Some believed in Jesus and saw Him as a political leader who would rise up against Roman rule. Some were confused. Many rejected Him and were furious. But, they all seemed to agree – “No One Ever Spoke Like This Man”. This is the title of our message this morning and the setting of our text in John 7:40-52. The words of Jesus have the same impact on people today as they did 2,000 years ago. Jesus is controversial and the world is divided. This morning we will attempt to answer this question: Why are the words of Jesus so divisive? Join us this morning as we open the Bible in search of our answers.
