☀️ Happy Summer! Last week, Schultz gave our 5th graders a special final clap-out as they wrapped up their elementary school years. PTO was honored to gift each 5th grader a yard sign to celebrate this exciting milestone! We wish the Class of 2033 the very best as they continue their educational journey into middle school next year. ✨

As the school year begins to wind down, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible parent volunteers and PTO organizations across Delaware City Schools.

So much of what makes our schools feel welcoming, connected, and joyful happens because of the countless hours parents give behind the scenes. From staff appreciation events, family nights, field days, school gardens, fundraisers, and enrichment opportunities, to simply showing up whenever help is needed, these volunteers help create experiences that students and staff will remember for years.

What stands out most is that every building’s PTO reflects the unique personality of its school community, yet they all share the same goal: supporting students, encouraging staff, and strengthening connections between families and schools. This graphic is only a small sampling of their work this school year.

Public schools are strongest when communities are engaged, and these photos are a wonderful reminder that education is about so much more than academics alone. It is also about relationships, belonging, support, and creating spaces where students feel valued and excited to learn.

Thank you to every parent, grandparent, family member, community partner, and volunteer who gave their time, energy, creativity, donations, and encouragement this year. Your impact reaches far beyond any single event.

🪴 Spring flower fundraiser complete! A HUGE shout out to the volunteers who helped today in the pouring rain / storm and to all the families who supported the sale & picked up their orders. We had 152 students sell over 1400 plants. PTO appreciates all of you.

📧 Those who sold flowers received an email earlier this week (May 11th) with their distribution list from
[email protected] showing you who ordered / what. We typically hand you a paper slip but those were became water damaged with today’s weather.

📞If there are any issues with your order to reach out to Mrs. Saunders at school on Monday (740-833-1403).

🌷 Flowers are ready to picked up! The sooner the better 😉 thank you to our amazing volunteers for getting everything counted, sorted, and ready.

It’s spring flower pick up day & the weather isn’t cooperating! But we have about 15 volunteers working hard to pull and sort orders. We hope to be ready for the 11 o’clock pickups but we ask for your patience and understanding.
