Today, we celebrate Father’s Day and recognize the incredible impact fathers and father figures have on the lives of our students.
Father’s Day traces its origins back to the early 1900s and was established to honor the dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering support of fathers. Since then, it has become a day to reflect on the important role that fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, mentors, coaches, and other positive male role models play in shaping future generations.
At PSDT, we know that student success extends far beyond the classroom. Behind every hardworking student is often a man who has invested his time, energy, wisdom, and love to help guide them along the way. Whether teaching life lessons, helping with projects in the garage, attending events, providing encouragement during difficult times, or simply leading by example, these men make a lasting difference.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the fathers and father figures who continue to sacrifice for their families, mentor our students, and help develop the next generation of skilled professionals, leaders, and citizens. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and your influence reaches farther than you may ever realize.
From all of us at PSDT, Happy Father’s Day! Thank you for your leadership, your mentorship, and your commitment to helping our students become the very best versions of themselves.

PSDT Alumni Doing Big Things at UNOH Motorsports!
There is nothing more rewarding than watching former students take the skills they learned in the PSDT shop and apply them to real-world success. Today, we want to recognize PSDT alumni Trace Settles and David Rosenberger, who are continuing to represent Delaware Area Career Center and PSDT at the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) Motorsports Program.
Recently, Trace and David were part of the UNOH Motorsports Team competing at Limaland Motorsports Park, one of Ohio's premier dirt racing venues. Driving the UNOH #00 Thunderstock, Trace Settles battled through a highly competitive field to secure a 6th-place finish in the Lock Sixteen Thunderstock A Main, showcasing the skills, determination, and teamwork that helped him excel during his time at DACC. Trace's team was led by crew chief Aaron Jesina and competed against some of the region's top dirt track racers.
UNOH's Motorsports Program continues to provide students with opportunities to compete and gain hands-on experience in race car preparation, fabrication, suspension tuning, engine performance, and race-day operations. Through partnerships with professional racing organizations and industry-leading programs, students gain real-world experience that prepares them for careers throughout the motorsports industry.
For many of us, it's hard not to remember Trace and David competing on our PSDT/FFA Ag Mechanics teams, where they helped earn District Championships and represent DACC at the state level. Today, they're applying those same technical skills and work ethic in collegiate motorsports competition.
We couldn't be more proud of these young men and what they continue to accomplish. Their success is a testament to what can happen when passion, hard work, and technical education come together.
Keep chasing those checkered flags and representing PSDT with pride!

What an incredible week at the Delaware Area Career Center Power Sports & Diesel Technology (PSDT) Summer Camp! Our middle school campers exceeded every expectation with their maturity, motivation, positive attitudes, and willingness to learn.
Throughout the week, students gained hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing six push mowers, along with several leaf blowers and chainsaws. They learned and safely operated industry-standard equipment including the Hypertherm Powermax 45 plasma cutter, oxy-acetylene cutting and heating equipment, grinders, and MIG welders. Campers also had the opportunity to work on multiple Toyota Tundra twin-turbo V6 engines, gaining valuable exposure to modern automotive technology.
Students cut, fabricated, and assembled metal projects while developing critical workplace skills such as safety awareness, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. The level of focus, professionalism, and determination displayed by these young men and women was truly impressive.
We are proud of everything these students accomplished in just a few short days and are excited to see many of them return to DACC in the future. The future of the skilled trades is bright, and these students proved that hard work, curiosity, and a willingness to learn can accomplish great things.
Thank you to all of our campers, families, and supporters who helped make this year's PSDT Summer Camp a tremendous success!
Mr. B.
