I think more people would be willing to work with health practitioners if they knew exactly whatโs expected of them. I get it - itโs overwhelming. Youโre already dealing with physical pain and discomfort; how much more can you handle on your plate?โฃ

If your body is resistant to weight loss, thereโs a reason, and whatever the reason, your bodyโs response is, โItโs not safe to lose weight.โ

If youโve been around here long enough, youโll know my favorite question is โ๐๐๐?โโฃ

Too often we assume our bodies arenโt doing x because of y, but most of the time those โyโs are the consequences of some deeper dysfunction.โฃ

We get caught up on fixing ๐ด๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ด when we must look to the ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. โฃ

What do I mean?โฃ
โIโm overweight and canโt loose any fat. I keep eating less but the scale doesnโt budge. I exercise more (and eat less) and still no change. It must be because of my hormones.โโฃ

We must look (๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ) to the foundational functions and processes that affect hormone health - digestion, hydration stress, sleep, movement, and (the biggest factor) DIET.โฃ

Never underestimate the innate wisdom of the body - no part of it works in isolation. Itโs so easy for us to get hung up on one aspect of our health, but thereโs a much larger picture we need to be looking at - clients, patients, practitioners and healthcare providers alike. โฃ

This is called a ๐ฝ๐๐๐พ๐๐๐พ๐ธ ๐๐๐๐ and itโs the one that ๐๐๐๐๐. โฃ Itโs the one that reflects the natural and perfect design of the body.โฃ

Circumstances change.
Bodies change.
Needs shift.
People grow.
Measuring nutrition on a scale of โall or nothingโ isnโt realistic and often leads to discouragement and sometimes abandoning our efforts altogether.
Life is unpredictable and ever-changing, and adaptability is our greatest strength.
By applying a mindset of adaptability to our nutrition, weโll find sustainability, which is a much more realistic and satisfying goal than perfection.
Try using a scale of:
GOOD - ๐๐๐๐๐๐ - ๐๐๐ข๐ฃ
Because when it comes to food, it wonโt be โbestโ every time and thatโs ok. โGoodโ is still a step in the right direction. A lot of repeated โgoodsโ add up.
