I view the art of photography as a creative process, a mixing of reality, and my personal vision. As such, I often use the tools of modern photography – different cameras, lenses, filters, digital enhancement – to try to capture in an image the emotion I felt at the moment I tripped the camera's shutter.
Remember those who have fought, and those who have fallen, for the freedoms we hold dear. Today we honor their courage, sacrifice, and legacy. 🇺🇸

Where water never stands still — every second reshapes the scene. Chasing the motion and silence hidden within the falls.

Backyard Astrophotography M42 Orion Nebula 3/8/26. This is one of my first deep space images. 153 separate images taken at 10 seconds each then stacked and processed.
M42 - Messier 42 The Orion Nebula photograph 3/8/26. The Orion Nebula is a vast cloud of gas and dust where new stars are actively forming. One of the closest and most studied cellular nurseries in our galaxy. The Orion Nebula is 1,300 - 1,400 light years away from Earth. The light in this photograph began its journey around the year 700 AD. It traveled across space uninterrupted for 13 centuries just to reach us. In case you're wondering that is the actual color of the nebula as it displays pinks and reds caused by ionized hydrogen gas.
