Apologies for lack of posting and response time. I think a lot of us are feeling that mental health drag and I've felt it especially this year.

We've had some major family health issues. Some in and out of the hospital. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and her treatment has been tough. She's handled each battle better than I have taken it and proven herself stronger than anyone realized. When I say it's been one trial after another, it really has been ceaseless.

There are days I feel like I'm just treading water and all I have the capacity for is taking care of the animals. The page upkeep had to be a secondary priority but I am making a schedule to decrease that burn out. I realized for a lot of the life of this page, I have made myself available seven days a week, often late into the night. Once I sort out the schedule, I'll post it, but likely I'll be taking mon-wed away from facebook, pickups, and setting hours where I'm available. This is a reminder to take care of your mental well being (and reach out to a psychological when you need it - if anyone needs recommendations for one in the area, message me.)

I recieved a few videos this week of adopters sending me their rats they've gotten from me, and that's really brightened my day. Always send them, and message me at any time. I don't want this to sound like I don't want to hear from you all, and the new adopters that are waiting for babies. I do love chatting with you guys and getting updates. It was just that the current system wasn't working, and I needed a break to think about how to fix it. I'll put together some resources that can be located, maybe in a pinned message, for days that I take off. I'll be going through applications and taking a look at the current waitlist. Feel free to reach out to make sure you're on it!
