⚽️ U.S. Soccer is coming to Del Rio! 🇺🇸

We’re looking for volunteer demonstration players for the U.S. Soccer Grassroots Coaching Courses on Saturday, June 20. This is a FREE opportunity for players to train, learn, and be coached by official U.S. Soccer instructors while helping local coaches earn their certifications.

🔹 U9/U10 Players (7v7 Course)
🔹 U13 & Older Players (11v11 Course)

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

⚽🎓 DRLYSA Awards $3,000 in Senior Scholarships to Local Student-Athletes! 🎓⚽

On behalf of the Del Rio Laughlin Youth Soccer Association, we are proud to recognize and congratulate our 2026 DRLYSA Scholarship Recipients, each of whom has been awarded a $600 scholarship in recognition of their outstanding achievements both on and off the field.

This year’s recipients are:

🏆 Rogelio Vielma
🏆 Cesar Mota
🏆 Maximiliano Ramon

Scholarship applications were evaluated based on three key areas:

✅ Community Involvement
✅ Participation and Commitment to Soccer
✅ Academic Achievement

These young men and women represent the very best of what youth sports can inspire—leadership, dedication, perseverance, and service to others. We are honored to support them as they take the next step in their educational journeys.

DRLYSA is an organization driven entirely by volunteers. Our board members, coaches, team parents, and countless community supporters dedicate thousands of volunteer hours each year so that 100% of the proceeds generated by the organization can be reinvested directly back into our community and our youth.

We are proud that through the support of our soccer families and sponsors, we can continue to provide opportunities such as scholarships, financial assistance, coach education, referee development, and youth programming.

⚽️🌟 Good Luck, Jesus Robles! 🌟⚽️

On behalf of DRLYSA and the entire Del Rio soccer community, we want to wish Jesus Robles the very best of luck as he represents Del Rio this weekend as a member of the South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA) Olympic Development Program (ODP) at the Regional Games in Atlanta, Georgia!

Jesus earned his place in the program after trying out for ODP last August and has been training and competing with the South Texas squad ever since. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to improving his game have opened the door to this incredible opportunity, and we could not be more proud of the way he represents our community both on and off the field.

Programs like ODP provide players the opportunity to train and compete with some of the top athletes from across the region while gaining exposure to higher levels of competition. One of the many benefits of being a member association of South Texas Youth Soccer Association is access to opportunities like the Olympic Development Program.

ODP tryouts are open to all players and will take place this August for players born in 2016 and older. We encourage all players who are looking to challenge themselves and take the next step in their soccer journey to consider trying out.
