Good morning, Del Rio. The golf course will be closed today as crews continue working hard to clear debris and assess conditions following last night’s storm.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as staff focus on cleanup efforts and getting the course back ready for play. We’ll share updates as they become available.

Today, Mayor Al Arreola, Council Members Jesus Lopez, Carmen Gutierrez, and Tina Martinez, City Manager Shawna Burkhart, Assistant City Manager Manuel Chavez, Operations & Compliance Manager Scot Carcasi, Parks Superintendent Lazaro Castro, Golf Course Business Manager Carlos Ayala, Boys and Girls Golf Head Coach Oscar Cardenas, and City staff were proud to join Del Rio High School and visiting teams for the kickoff of the Del Rio High School Boys Golf Tournament at San Felipe Springs Golf Course.

This marks the first tournament held since completion of the new Hole #1 8' x 72' Utility Bridge with 42" Truss Rail — the first of three bridge improvements approved by City Council as part of ongoing enhancements to the golf course. These projects are designed to improve access, safety, and overall course connectivity.

A great milestone for our course and our community.
