Wednesday night, April 23, was a big night for Barrio Logan College Institute, the organization’s annual fundraiser--Opportunity for Impact. The event raised approximately $450,000 for the organization, which relies on donations for its operating expenses.

Keegan McNamara moderated the UCSD Rady School of Management Entrepreneurship Panel event on Mar 27. He facilitated the discussion with two entrepreneurs--MBA Alumni Mya S. Thu is the inventor and co-founder of VisiCELL Medical Inc., and Mark Schultzel is an orthopedic surgeon and entrepreneur. His latest venture is Astron MedTech.

Our principal and UCSD Rady MBA Alum Keegan McNamara had a great time moderating the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego Management Entrepreneurship Panel event the evening of March 27. He facilitated the discussion with two prominent healthcare entrepreneurs, who are both MBA Alumni from UCSD’s Rady School of Management.

Mya S. Thu is the inventor and co-founder of VisiCELL Medical Inc., which uses nanomaterials in cell therapy. They are raising their Series A financing.

Mark Schultzel MD MBA, FAAOS FAOA is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and serial entrepreneur. His latest venture is Astron MedTech, which is revolutionizing Achilles tendon surgery.

The attendees enjoyed hearing the success stories from both entrepreneurial journeys!

Our principal, Keegan McNamara, sends out huge thanks to Michelle Geller and Lev Gershman for organizing a sneak peek for our ULI San Diego-Tijuana North County Product Council meeting at Oceanside’s new $85 million Arena at 3475 Hero Dr. He can’t wait to see some San Diego Clippers G-League games! The 7,500-capacity arena is spectacular: airy and open with multiple lounges and viewing locations. There’s not a bad seat in the house! This week our founder and CEO, Keegan McNamara and Uranga received unanimous City Council approval to move forward with an annexation of 17 acres from the County into the City of Escondido. The future development will be a village of for-sale homes. I'm super excited to see this project moving forward. This first step will allow us to proceed with a general plan amendment and zone change for the property.

Our Principal, Keegan McNamara recently hosted two heavyweight entrepreneurs Steve Prestrelski, and Steve Connolly. Both are University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management MBA alumni, both are Chief Scientific Officers, and both have taken their respective companies public.
