For this week's post, we're taking a look at some of Trinity's trendsetters from days gone by. Clothing fashions come and go (and then come back again), and college students are sometimes quite a trendy bunch! Check out these good lookin’ folks from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Hello, Trinity community! This week's post coordinates with our University Day of Prayer, which took place this past Tuesday.

Prayer has been a Trinity value and priority since its very inception. The Bible Institute of the Swedish Evangelical Free Church formed student Prayer Bands from the 1920s through the 1950s; as the 1926-27 Bible Institute Catalog noted, "A prominent feature in the student life is the prayer spirit that is emphasized and finds expression in the prayer band. This meets regularly and the spiritual life of the students is thereby deepened and intercessions made on behalf of the student body, relatives, friends, and missionaries."

After the merger of the Chicago and Minneapolis schools, they became known as Dormitory/Residence Prayer Groups and existed from the 1950s through the 1970s.
