Here at we also apply scientific measures to evaluate performance through data and experimentation. The goal for task such as this one would be to assess cognitive performance (executive functions) and compare those baselines to the shooting task. We would want to see if the additional working memory load would effect shooting performance. We saw here not only did my shooting deteriorate but also my mental capacity. We know that stress and higher cognitive load can impair performance but let’s investigate further. GET YOUR MIND RIGHT and THINK BEFORE YOU SHOOT!

So one of the main things people comment about our guns is that they aren’t “real guns”. Obviously there’s no replacing a real firearm but that isn’t the mission here at The Brain Range. Our goal is to stimulate a variety of mental components involving similar mechanisms as you’d encounter when handling a fire arm. When doing our drills we add a component found no where else in the world. So if you want to deal with a real gun we encourage you to do so as our training is to meant to complement your live fire training. The Brain Range is another aspect of the many possibilities to take your training to the next level so remember THINK BEFORE YOU SHOOT! ***k

One of the many great features of The Brain Range is our replica airsoft weapons. They all are licensed replicas of models such as G***k and Smith & Wesson. As seen here he taps and racks after dropping the magazine and reloading. Our weapons also have real blowback simulating recoil. Now this won’t have quite the force of live fire, it’s the next best option to get real practice with out the cost of live ammo and the convenience of our facility! So the brain range is nearing its official opening and I wanted to clear up so misconceptions.
1. It’s not a replacement for live fire training.
2. The emphasis is on the brain, meaning how we process information dictates our overall performance. This is as well as handling psychological factors are neglected not necessarily in just fi****ms training but in many aspects of human performance.
3. Here you can practice techniques and other habits necessary to carry over to your live training.
4. Cost efficient because you can shoot literally 1000 rounds for less than $50.
5. All our guns are licensed replicas of actual guns and have moving parts and blowback. You can drop mags and tap and rack.
6. It allows beginners to ease into fi****ms training and safety with relevant cues and techniques.
Overall this should be seen as a supplement to training and a mental stimulus not found anywhere else on the planet. THINK BEFORE YOU SHOOT!
