Good morning everyone! Race Roundup 3! Hot nights at the track! A steamy, humid evening!

Despite the heat, Vin looked good in practice, keeping his time consistent, improved his line and showed improving speed into and out of the corners. He’s been feeling more and more comfortable every time he gets out there.

About 83 degrees under the lights at race time, Vin was ready to go. He qualified 14th out of a field of 17th. The largest field yet this season, he stayed focused and kept grinding. A cleaner race this week, he did a great job avoiding a couple of spins, and moved up as the race went on. Never quitting, he finished 11th on the night. Week by week, lap by lap, he keeps climbing.

Race Roundup 2 - A beautiful night for racing last night! Vin was excited to get back on the track.

Initial practice laps had him comfortable although a little loose on the track; as we progressed thru the night he was able to shave time off his laps and was ready to go at the green flag.

Tonight was night one of Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown event, so we looking at 30 laps around the Action track of the East. So a little bit of a longer race, but Vin was ready to go and did a great job handling all laps.

Improving on last week, he qualified a spot up and landed in 13th out of a field of 16, stayed on the lead lap and finished up 12th avoiding all cautions on the night. Not to mention, he set a new personal best in lap time!

THAT WAS AWESOME! - Vincent Sarro 5.29.26 after his first Legend car race

Race Roundup 1 - Folks, we had ourselves a great night last night. An excellent start to the year! The Legend car is a whole new level of racing, and a whole new experience. We’re talking big dog racing. Strap in and hold on! If you’re not familiar with a Legend car, it’s no more gas and brake like the bandolero. Vin is in a 6-speed sequential manual. Not to mention, much more power and speed. With that, Vin is out to learn everything he can and boy is he as locked in as ever.

Practice time had him feeling really good and much more comfortable even after the long winter without a ton of seat time. Each time out he improved his lap time and landed in 13th for qualifying out of a 15 car field.

Races are 25 laps and they bring the excitement. Green flag drops and we’re off and running. A clean race overall, yet there were five cautions for some small spins. Although he was further back in the field, Vin did a great job working on his line, improving his speed, and avoiding everything the race threw at him. For his efforts he finished up a spot in 12th. Expectations this year are simply keep the car in one piece, finish each race, and learn, learn, learn.

So far, we’re off to a great start. Vin will stay on the SIM and watch all the video he can as we get ready for next week.

It’s going to be a great season, so get down to the track, we want to see you there!
