We would like to take a moment congratulate Chief William Spillane on his final day here at DFD and his well deserved retirement. Chief Spillane served the Dedham community for 42 years, spending 14 years as the Chief of Department. During his tenure as our Chief, he spearheaded a wide variety of projects and programs to help us do our jobs to the best of our abilities including being at the front of our new public safety buildingโs construction, setting the standard early occupational cancer detection and implementing a department health and fitness program for our members. For everything you have done for us and the community for the last 4 decades, we say congratulations and thank you for your service. Enjoy your retirement, Chief. You earned it!
