Get Connected & Volunteer with Books for Africa on Thursday, June 16, 9am-12pm at 2655 Atlanta Industrial Drive NW, Bldg. #250, Atlanta, GA!
Books for Africa remains the largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent, shipping over 35 million books to 49 different countries since 1988. Volunteers sort and pack books according to category & age level. No heavy lifting is involved. Volunteers should be at least 14 years old & above. Please wear closed-toe shoes. Sister 2 Sister Mentoring Program is almost here! Join us on Saturday, June 11, 10am-12pm! Sister 2 Sister is designed to assist at-risk teen girls, many of whom have entered the juvenile court system, through adult mentoring and bi-monthly meetings. Topics include: abstinence; STDs; self-esteem; goal setting; and making informed and positive life choices. Ages: 13-17 years of age.
